Willie Nelson is the face, the heart, and the soul of country music. He also celebrates his 92nd birthday on April 29. Historian Gary Wenstrup uses interview and performance clips to trace the arc of Willie Nelson’s career from humble beginnings in small-town Texas to his struggles in Nashville and his shift to Outlaw Country, to his now legendary status in the music industry.
