Andy Warhol, subject of an upcoming Art Institute of Chicago exhibit, responded to American popular culture and produced work inspired by the slickness of commercial advertising making him America’s first celebrity artist.  In this slide lecture, Art Historian Dr. Michelle Mishur presents a survey of Warhol’s career.
