These short stories are based on the Scavenger Story Surprise videos posted on IPPL's YouTube channel.

• Watch the video to see what the 3 surprises will be each week. Videos are posted on Mondays in May.
• Explore your house and yard to find similar items.
• Use the items as writing prompts for your short story.

• Select stories will be published in a digital exhibit with original illustrations created especially for your story by local artist, Devan. Sponsored by VizoArts.

Try to write one page for every grade that you’ve completed. If you’re in 1st grade, write one page. If you're in 5th grade, try to write five pages.
