Online Adult Advisory Board Introductory Meeting
What is the Adult Advisory Board?
This committee of adults will consider the needs and interests of our community by evaluating the resources and services of the library and will facilitate communication with the community.
Mission: To improve communication between the library and the community and to enrich this relationship.
We will focus on:
- Getting NEW ideas.
- Getting feedback on EXISTING programs/services.
- Becoming advocates for the library.
- Evaluating a specific program, service, or resource at each meeting.
Who can join the board?
Indian Prairie Library cardholders in the district, age 18 or older.
When will the board meet?
After the initial meeting, we will meet quarterly.
Responsibilities of the board include:
Attend four regularly scheduled meetings during a one year period.
Actively participate in meetings.
Suggest programs, services, and resources for adults and the community.
Promote the library’s programs and services in the community.
