Online - Black History Month Movie Club: Fruitvale Station (2013)

For teens in grades 7-12. Celebrate Black History Month this February by watching these historical dramas from Black directors. We will stream these films over Zoom, then host a brief discussion after the movie is over!

This week, we're watching Fruitvale Station, the true story of Oscar Grant, a young man killed by Bay Area police. Director Ryan Coogler and star Michael B. Jordan help paint the picture of Oscar's final 24 hours, and the events leading up to his death.

Remember to check out our Antiracist Reading Challenge and our Read Woke challenge on Beanstack for books in a similar vein.

Registration is required with a working email account to receive the Zoom login information. You will receive an email with this information when registration closes 3 hours before the program begins. Note: We reserve the right to remove or mute any attendee, at our discretion.
