Online - Folded Map Project

The original goal of the Folded Map Project was to photograph corresponding addresses on Chicago’s North and South sides to highlight the impacts of decades of urban segregation. The study quickly evolved into a series of video interviews between the “map twins,” who were invited to experience each other’s neighborhoods. Join photographer and activist Tonika Lewis Johnson for a screening of her short film and an open dialogue on the impact of the social, racial, and institutional conditions that create our urban environment, and how we might change them.
