Chicago: An Illustrated Timeline

Ellen Shubart, tour guide and author of the book by the same name, shares stories and slides of how our city in 200-plus years grew from a trading post on a meandering river to a thriving, prosperous city. She’ll track the history of architectural styles, the growth of immigrant communities and the development of Chicago-style politics.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase following the presentation.
